DIY Felt Daffodils

Spring is always around the corner and that means it is time for daffodils. Turn your home into the Nantucket Daffodil festival with these handmade beauties.

I totally copied Resa Curbo Creative on how to make these, and made my own template for Cricut.

Did I mention how much I love my Cricut Explore? Makes my life easier, and my wildest dreams a reality.

Where is the Cricut template?

Below is the SVG I created for Cricut. It is the template needed for one daffodil flower. Import this into Cricut maker, then copy and paste a bunch of times so you cut multiple daffodils at once. Rearrange to minimize felt waste.

What about the green stems?

I did this part by hand, so there is no SVG shortcut. Just a tear drop shaped leaf hot glued around wire, then hot glued shut in the opposite direction.

Purple daffodils?

Daffodils come in beautiful purple colors as well.  Same thing different color. Once you have your template, you can experiment with whatever colors you’d like. I have tried artificial looking colors, but I prefer natural.

🌼how to make a felt daffodil🌼 1. Spray felt with fabric stiffener and let dry 2. Cut fringe and glue around the stem 3. Add hot glue to the bottom of the center shape and pinch around the stem at the base of the fringe. Glue around edge and slightly overlap. 4. Cut slits in the centers of both petal shapes. Slide onto stem and glue under the center. Add additional glue if petals are flopping down too much. #feltflowers #feltflower #howtomakefeltflowers #feltdaffodil #springbouquet
