With a little bit of clay and a silicone mold, your antique gold framed dreams can become a reality.
First things first, I am the realest. No, but really grab some polymer clay and smush and roll into these gorgeous silicone molds I found on Amazon. Indent with magnet base and slowly remove from the mold.
Slow is the key here as there are alot of intricate little corners we want to remove, but slowly.
Remember Despacito – yeah sing that while you slowly take these babies out.
Bake in super low oven, like 200 for around 15 minutes, or until hard.
Grab your X-ACTO knife and go to town on whatever you would like framed. Here I found my beloved French Impressionism book and cut out some beauties.
This is where I wish I had some transparent paper to stencil in the exact size, but really just eye-balled it. So any imperfections or mistakes, let’s blame on that okay. BTW if you have a suggestions as to how get the exact shape of the inside of this mold, please please contact me.
Once cooled, slather the hardened clay pieces with gold paint.
Hot glue on back the magnet. Once dried, flip over and hot glue on desired art.
